Aetna Specialty Pharmacy®

If you or a covered family member uses an injectable or specialty medication, and are enrolled in the CSC Preferred Access or Exclusive Access plan, you must use the Aetna Specialty Pharmacy to receive benefits under the plan. This service is recommended but optional if you are enrolled in the Managed Choice POS or CSR Open Access HMO plan. Through this service, you may order:

• Injectable drugs;
• Specialty medications that require refrigeration;
• Medications not normally available through a retail pharmacy

The Aetna Specialty Pharmacy is a convenient way to order medication as well as a valuable resource for information and guidance on using your medication and staying healthy. Aetna Specialty Pharmacy offers:

• Prompt, free delivery – to your home, your doctor or other location via priority overnight mail
• Free supplies – such as standard syringes and alcohol containers
• Information, instruction and support – to help you understand and use your medication, and enjoy better health
• Coordination of home care services
• Flexible payment options – for out-of-pocket expenses
• Quality packaging – for refrigerated medications

To get started, your doctor should request your first prescription. Or you may call 1-866-782-2779 toll free to have your prescription filled (up to a 30-day supply). After that, you'll receive a call from a patient care coordinator a week before it's time for your next refill. Along with your first order, you'll receive some forms to complete and important information about the service and how to reorder your medication.
